Precision Oncology Software Environment Interoperable Data Ontologies Network™
POSEIDON™ is a secure, cloud-based Oncology Insights Engine enabling exploration, analysis, visualization, and collaboration on our patient clinicogenomic data along with public sources. For the first time, we now provide a platform that investigators can use to access and visualize data from clinical and multiomics (like genomics) data, which arise from very distinct sources. This platform gives investigators a tool for cohort discovery, preliminary feasibility testing through drawing patient specific-insights.
This platform offers our researchers near a realtime, de-identified, view of City of Hope's patient cohort. POSEIDON Common Data Model (PDCM) incorporates data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), as well as other clinically related systems, to provide a comprehensive data ecosystem for identifying patients for clinical trials and research. PCDM incorporates data from systems such as Registry of Hope, California Cancer Registry, clinical trials, imaging metadata, genomics data lake, and virtual biospecimen repository. PDCM is further augmented with Natural Language Processing (NLP), which allows us to extract common elements from our unstructured text fields and document repositories. In addition to a code set, semantic and ontology-interoperability layer is applied to fields within the PCDM to harmonize and streamline data searches.
